Games purchased through the Razer Game Store were activated via other content platforms like Steam and Ubisoft’s Uplay through activation keys as such, all games purchased through Razer’s store will continue to work, provided users redeem their game keys. Razer will fulfill any pre-orders on games made before the end of the month. Razer thanked those that patronized the Game Store and said that the company will be “investing in other ways to deliver great content and introduce game promotions through Razer Gold,” Razer’s virtual credit system that awards users digital coins that can be redeemed for various discounts on games and Razer products. In an announcement posted on the distribution service’s website, Razer announced that the Razer Game Store will “cease operations on Februat 0100hrs (sic) Pacific Time.” The shutdown of the store comes as a result of Razer’s “realignment plans,” according to the post. A little over 10 months after it first opened, Razer is shutting down its fledgling online PC games store.
